Summer by DC Porder
I painted my face in the clouds. The oaks surrounded me like a circus ring. Branches waved and leaves paddled across the salty atmosphere like Viking ships. I leaned forward and gazed at a theater troupe frozen in the heat. The wind tickled tufts of grass. I fell back into the Earth’s curve. Flowers bent across my eyes like curtains. I nodded a final bow.
